Hi!
I have joined the Phaser Studio team as their Senior Tools engineer.
Phaser Studio is a new company led by Richard Davey. The goal of this company is "to modernize the Phaser framework".
This is the best news for me and the future of Phaser Editor 2D. I mentioned in other opportunities that I recently moved from Cuba to the United States. In Cuba, I sustained myself and my family with the editor license's sales. Occasionally, I collaborated with other teams on developing games, but now that I am in the US, I had to seek a full-time job. I was looking for any position about software development, not only related to Phaser or game development. If you are an immigrant, you may know how hard the beginning is.
I tell you this because I want to illustrate how lucky I am because I'm joining Phaser Studio, and how important Phaser Studio is for the future of Phaser Editor 2D.
What's next with Phaser Editor 2D?
Now, my priority is to integrate Phaser Editor 2D into the new products we will develop in Phaser Studio. Also, I will open source the backend of Phaser Editor 2D, which is the only part that is private in the editor.
What about the Phaser Editor 2D license owners?
Phaser Editor 2D as a product may change, but lifetime license owners will get access to the desktop version of the editor.
Keep in contact! Arian
P.S: Read the Phaser Studio's announcement of my new role in the company
